This Privacy Policy explains how Solfeo (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our service at solfeo.ai. By using Solfeo, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — your email address, authentication tokens, and subscription status.
- Study material you upload — PDFs, images, pasted notes, and any text you send in the chat. This content is used only to generate your songs and study tools.
- Generated content — songs, lyrics, flashcards, concept maps, and annotations produced by our AI pipeline from your material.
- Usage data — pages visited, buttons clicked, which songs you play, and how you interact with study tools. We use this to improve quality and diagnose bugs.
- Payment data — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We retain Stripe’s customer and subscription identifiers linked to your account.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service — run the chat, generate songs, deliver flashcards and other study tools.
- To bill you and manage your subscription (via Stripe).
- To improve quality — we may analyze aggregate, non-identifying usage signals to tune prompts and retire underperforming templates.
- To communicate with you about account, billing, and service updates.
3. Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We share limited data with these processors, only as needed to run Solfeo:
- Supabase — stores your account, uploads, generated content, and usage logs.
- Stripe — processes your payment and manages your subscription.
- Anthropic — powers the chat and text generation (lyrics, flashcards, concept maps). Your study material is sent to them for processing and is subject to their API data-use policy.
- Replicate / MiniMax — generates the audio for your songs. The song prompt and lyrics are sent to them for generation.
- Trigger.dev — runs our background generation jobs.
4. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your account data at any time. To delete your account and everything in it, email us at the address below. We’ll confirm deletion within 14 days.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we keep your data for 30 days in case you reactivate, then delete it (except records we’re legally required to keep, like payment receipts).
6. Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Children
Solfeo is intended for users 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, email us and we’ll delete the account. If you are a California resident under 18 and registered for Solfeo, you may request that we remove content you posted, as provided by California Business and Professions Code Section 22581.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no consistent industry standard for how DNT signals should be handled, so Solfeo does not currently respond differently based on DNT. We do not track users across third-party sites, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you’re a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know — request a copy of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we’ve collected about you.
- Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we’ve collected (subject to limited exceptions).
- Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale / sharing — we do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, we’ll provide a clear opt-out mechanism.
- Right to non-discrimination — you will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@solfeo.ai. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within 45 days.
Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83): California residents may request information about any disclosures of personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Solfeo does not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll email you at the address on your account.
